This is a beginners and intermediate group dedicated to playing songs (and singing along) on this easy to learn little instrument.

Although the group is pretty full, we welcome interest from prospective new members who might wish to join us, and everyone is welcome to join us for a taster session. There is also our fellow u3a group Fun Loving Ukuleles who meet in the evenings at Leziate Village Hall.

No knowledge of musical theory is needed, nor any prior experience - although owning a Ukulele would be helpful! (we do have a couple that can be borrowed).

There are two PDF books on this page, written by the u3a National Subject Advisor Ken Cockburn which new members may find useful.

PDF Versions of all the songs we have tackled can be made available to any u3a member on request.

If anyone is unable to get to the hall there is still the opportunity to join us Via ZOOM Video Conferencing as well.. We welcome any U3A member who wishes to join us for a taster session, whether they play or not! - for more information contact The Website editor , Neil Prew
