Play reading and Theatre appreciation
The group meets on alternate Tuesdays from 2.00 - 4.00 pm at the Gaywood Library, River Lane, King’s Lynn PE30 4HD.
A variety of plays, thrillers, farces, murders, comedies by popular and not so popular authors and play writers e.g. Ibsen, J.B. Priestley, Alan Ayckbourne, John Godber and Alan Bennett to name a few. Personal ideas or requests are welcome. After the completion of reading a script we discuss its content and our thoughts. Plays are selected as far as possible with the number of characters to match the number of group members.

We have shared our readings at u3a monthly meetings, Christmas entertainment, open days and taken part in the Hunstanton ‘One Act’ Drama Festival.
Public reading is not compulsory for the individual but it is fun to take part.
Local (40 - 50 miles) theatre visits can be arranged to see plays, professional and amateur, that the group have read or are of interest. We like to support local groups.

We can take a maximum of 14 people and would like to encourage male members to join us.
Don’t be shy!
